John Sterling Butchers Another Home Run Call

Whether you love them or hate them, it’s impossible to deny that the Yankees hold a special role in America’s baseball subconscious. Yet somehow, that hasn’t saved them from idiocy in play calling on the radio, a trend which is almost sure to continue as long as John Sterling is in the team’s official radio booth. His latest gaffe came on a Hideki Matsui homer, which he correctly identified as one of Hideki Matsui’s … before using his traditional call for an Alex Rodriguez bomb. It’s so puzzling it makes you scratch your head while laughing.
