Soccer Ref Takes Unruly Fans Into Own Hands … With a Gun

Well, now we have seen everything. In Romania, a soccer ref had heard just about enough from a group of dissident fans during a game between Popesti Stefan and Unirea Dragalina, so he decided to end things once and for all … by pulling out a gun. Seriously. The ref — OK, he was the assistant ref — was apparently packing the handgun in his shorts, but felt more than content to pull it out when he was losing control of the game, all of which makes us question 1) his sanity and 2) the safety of Romanian soccer and 3) the relative safety of Romania altogether.
